Tiny tiny multi venue for the smaller artists. Stage 2 is very small and intimate. Good sound and you’re pretty much in touching distance of the stage. Get there early and snag a table upstairs.
Great place to hang w/ good music. Sometimes you need to pay $10-15 for the admission but mostly it's FREE. Highly recommend stage 2 rather than stage 1.
Best place for live music in the lower east side!! 3 stages and awesome musician every night! Check the website if you are looking for a particular sound or just go there and prepare to get surprised!
So many stages, so little time! Rockwood Music Hall is located in the heart of the LES and includes three separate stages with a range of talent, running the gamut from blues to jazz, pop to rock.
Main attractions are obviously the two stages with their entrances on Allen Street. in addition, there is a large bar space that has its entrance on Orchard. lovely spot for a drink before a show.
One of the best spots in the city for live music. Intimate experiences with soon-to-be-famous bands. Great place to stop off for a chilled out vibe on a weeknight.
If you can snag a VIP seat upstairs, you'll get primo views of the stage below. Free music pretty much every hour. Lots of talent.
A musician friend described it as a music factory. They cram in the sets but it's a nice intimate venue while you're there. Great sound engineers!
Great music venue in NYC, every stage has its own charm and each one can get quite crowded. If you like the act you're seeing, you'll love Rockwood.
Wander in on Sunday night for an intimate performance of great jazz, blues, or acoustic singer/songwriter. And enjoy with a glass of Malbec...or 2. Show is free so make sure to tip the musicians!
Best place to go if you want to kick back, relax with a drink, and just listen to some quality live music.
Execlent rock place! I went to to see some friends playing and the sound is perfect and the nice small room has just enough to have great time!
One of a kind music acts at this les joint. An intimate atmosphere. Weekends are cover and weekdays like a Thursday have good acts for free.
This institution for NYC singer-songwriters is intimate, inclusive, and free. You might even see local resident Norah Jones play an impromptu set here on occasion.
one of the best places for live music. I dare you to go to a show right now. Pick an artist, any artist. They'll all impress.
All the shows at this intimate club are free (unless noted on their calendar). Get up and close with your favorite emerging artists.
Awesome smaller music venue. Great acoustics and an intimate feel. If you can find space, watch the show from the balcony.
Rock solid hidden music gem of the lower east side that still manages to hold its ground dispite all the bullshit popping around the neighborhood
Like a movie theater but for small concerts. Multiple intimate stages to watch musicians. Seats, tables and dedicated waitstaff in each room. 2 drink minimum.
Discover new and upcoming acts on any three of the stages! Most shows are free though there is a drink minimum.
Tonight program was full of different styles of music. If you want to have some fun, so you can try it here.
This venue has given the stage to local NYC bands since the ’90s. Every day, a few indie, bluegrass and Americana bands take to either one of the two stages to showcase their talent.
I saw a show at Rockwood last night - that I traveled over three hours for. I already want to go back. Amazing atmosphere and the staff is SO friendly. I envy New Yorkers for having this great venue!
Great little intimate place, had some good music and some bad, then ended with good stuff again!
Gregg Allman just showed up tonight! How cool. You never know who will show up at this amazing NYC venue. Rockwood 2 is one of my favorite rooms to hear music in New York.
The best part about Rockwood? It's free! (though you do need to get a couple drinks). Come here for a cheap, entertaining, music filled night.
This place is one of the reasons I love New York!! Amazing free live music every single night of the week!! #love
Love the space. Get here early to grab a seat. The two theatre seats in the upstairs balcony are the best seats by far to see everything.
Shut up and listen to the show - plenty of other bars where you can shout about work with your friends.
There's always a great show any night of the week. And so many amazing free shows too.
Cosy place to enjoy the music. Simple bar but you can be close to the musicians and chat.
A great spot for intimate shows. No cover. One drink minimum. Definitely recommend.
What's not to love about free concerts? Pay it forward and make sure to save some cash for artist donations.
Solid and unpretentious. Just like our taste in music. Rockwood Music Hall is one of our favorite local venues.
Terrific intimate space to hear live music. Saw Glen David Andrews here and he melted the place like butter...
One of the best music venues in NYC. Stop in any night and you'll find awesome music.
If you’re lucky you’ll get to see one or maybe even two amazing shows for the price of a beer. Read more

If you arrive early, you will have to stand in line in the cold while people call you names. If you arrive on time, same thing.
